He has participated in combat operations in support of Operations PROVIDE PROMISE\, DENY FLIGHT\, SOUTHERN WATCH\, and IRAQI FREEDOM: “We need to raise sustainability up to be our national strategic imperative for the 21st Century.”Professor David W. Orr\, the Paul Sears Distinguished Professor of Environmental Studies and Politics and Special Assistant to the President of Oberlin College\, and a James Marsh Professor at the University of Vermont. Recent projects include a two-year\, $2.2 million collaborative project to define a 100 days climate action plan for the Obama administration\, and his most recent book\, Down to the Wire: Confronting Climate Collapse: “Climate change is the ‘perfect problem’ because it is so easy to procrastinate on solutions.”Moderator:\n\nBob Berkebile\, a founding principal of BNIM Architects with 44 years’ contribution to the architectural profession.
