BBB Trust Awards: "Legends, Leaders & Legacies"

As local businesses have asked for this award event for years, we're greatly looking forward to celebrating the most trusted businesses in Kansas City at this event.

It is our privilege to highlight businesses and their leaders that have demonstrated a commitment to trust in the marketplace and ethical business. Twenty businesses will be receiving a Legacy Award for being accredited for over 50 years, with some memberships beginning as early as 1923!  Other businesses will receive the high honor of a Trust Award for employing best practices in customer experience and leadership commitment to ethical principles.

We’re gathering to not only honor business leaders, but to also embrace the challenge as individuals to produce positive impact in our community. Each one of us has the capacity to build legends, lead with excellence, and leave a legacy for those who follow. Come out and see how we can provide support!

In 1914, advertising clubs all over the country started forming groups called “vigilance committees.” Their sole purpose was to combat false advertising. Our roots are in our origination as a vigilance committee for the Kansas City Advertising Club, so we are absolutely delighted that Mr. Bob Bernstein of Bernstein-Rein Advertising, a legendary leader in Kansas City, will be joining us to share about advertising history and building legacies!

We will also take time to acknowledge the creativity and leadership of local high school students at Blue Valley CAPS and F.L. Schlagle. They produced winning videos for our 2019 Student Video Contest.

This year's event will be held at the K C Public Library Plaza Branch - Truman Auditorium & Cohen Center. Doors open at 4:45PM if you'd like to join us early, there will be plenty of food and live music so you can relax! Come help us celebrate honorees and network with area businesses.
