Nonprofit organizations and governments play vital roles in addressing local issues and providing services to communities. Both have important boards to help set strategy and govern their work - boards of directors, advisory boards, regulatory boards, commissions, etc. And both rely on volunteer leadership to function. Attend this session to learn more about the types of boards, responsibilities of board members, and issues related to boards in Kansas City, and to hear advice and experiences from inspiring board leaders. At the end, you'll be more prepared to join a board and provide effective leadership to help create the change you want to see!
