Diversity & Inclusion Workshop Series: Hiring, Retaining, and Promoting Diverse Talent

You asked, and we listened.
In 2018, our members took part in the KC Chamber Regional Diversity and Inclusion Survey. The purpose was to find out how the Greater Kansas City Chamber could best support our members when it comes to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace. The number one request from our respondents was for tools and education on how to implement D&I tools in their companies. Based on that request, the Chamber invites you to participate in our upcoming Diversity and Inclusion Workshop Series. These working lunches are designed to be stand-alone sessions, but participants who attend all four will receive a special recognition at the completion of the series. 

What You Will Learn: During working lunch sessions, experts will lead you through topics such as implicit bias, hiring and promoting minorities, and understanding a supplier diversity program.

Where do you look to find future employees? How wide do you cast your net? In this session, participants will learn how to find qualified candidates who might not pop up in a traditional hiring search, jettison unnecessary job criteria that can promote bias, and how to best understand retention issues and mentoring for employees of color.
