Event Description:
Have you ever wanted to learn how to BBQ but you're not sure where to start? Or are you already good with grilling basics and want to learn more? This is the perfect opportunity! Join us for a hands-on demonstration with both pork ribs and pork tenderloin and learn the basics of grilling and smoking from local Pitmasters Megan Day from Burnt Finger BBQ and Richard Fergola from Fergolicious BBQ!
This event is for anyone who is wanting to get a start in the BBQ world - whether it be at home or in a BBQ Competition. You'll learn how to smoke ribs, grill pork tenderloin and even be judged in a competition against other teams.
You will get a live demonstration on how to prepare ribs for smoking, so everything from trimming to seasoning and even how to smoke them properly. You will also learn when to remove your ribs from the smoker and wrap them!
After that, it's time for the pork tenderloin. This is the hands-on part of the event. Teams will watch a live demonstration from our pitmasters on how to prepare the best pork tenderloin then get to put those skills to test on their own. You'll get to put your own taste on the pork by choosing your own seasonings. After everything is done cooking, your pork will be judged by KCBS certified judges!
Teams of 2-3 people will compete against others. Grab your teammates and sign up today!
What is included?
Prizes will be awarded to the team with the most creative name and teams that prepare the best pork tenderloin - decided by KCBS certified judges.
