Google Fiber is an internet service provider with the mission of helping all communities access high-speed, high bandwidth internet. We currently offer service to residents and small businesses in 18 cities nationwide, between Google Fiber, a fiber-to-the-premises network, and Google Fiber Webpass, a wireless network in apartments and condominiums. Google Fiber has been serving customers in the Greater Kansas City area - our first market - since 2012, now serving 21 municipalities.
Google Fiber's community impact work prioritizes digital inclusion through meaningful partnerships with locally based nonprofits and product investments. Over 350 area schools, libraries, community centers, municipal facilities and nonprofits receive Google Fiber gigabit internet service at no cost through our Community Connections program. Through our Gigabit Communities program, there are nearly 1100 units at eight public housing communities where residents receive gigabit internet service at no cost.
